Amin Banihashemi

Project Manager, Architectural Intern

Amin is a student of the world. Born in Iran, he moved to Texas to obtain his master’s degree in architecture, however; his education did not end there. When Amin is not out on the town with friends or swimming, he is reading and further educating himself on architecture, technology, history and other sciences, such as astronomy and the health sciences. When asked what drew him to architecture more than other studies, he cited this quote from Leonardo da Vinci’s “Principles for the Development of a Complete Mind, “ Study the science of art. Study the art of science. Develop your senses – especially learn how to see. Realize that everything connects to everything else.” He heard that when he was nine years old, and it made such an impression on him, it stayed with him until it was time to choose a major. He felt the best way to “see” where art and science come together, is through the study of architecture. It’s this passion for knowledge that makes him such a strong addition to the KAS team. In addition to being an over-achiever, and there’s just no other way to say this: Amin is possibly the nicest human being on the planet and is an absolute joy to have at KAS.
