Architectural Design

Architectural design is primarily driven by the creative manipulation of mass, space, volume, texture, light, shadow, materials, program, and pragmatic elements such as cost, construction and technology, in order to achieve an end which is aesthetic, functional and often artistic.

Master Planning

Organizing your future with a site plan that guides your development and growth is a key part of the KAS Architects' process.

Long Range Development Planning

A long-range development plan (LRDP) is a comprehensive plan that guides physical development such as the location of buildings, open space, circulation, and other land uses.

Facilities Program Development

Working with you to confirm the type and size of facility best suited to your specific needs, ambitions and resources.

Interior Space Planning

Shaping the experience of interior space, through the manipulation of spatial volume as well as surface treatment.

Construction Administration

Ensures that the construction or equipment installation is in general conformance with the design documents and applicable codes and standards. We remain fully engaged in the process during construction, with regularly scheduled site visits until full completion of the project.

Needs Assessment

Kirkpatrick Architecture Studio representatives will meet with decision makers and end-users of the facility and create a Preliminary Plan. At this same meeting, the program will be confirmed and tested, and using the information gained, we will confirm that all activities are accommodated for, and land/space/size requirements for each of those activities are met.

Renovation/Adaptive Reuse

The use of existing structures is one of the most environmentally friendly methods of building today. Adapting older structures to new uses and upgrading buildings to meet modern standards.

Both the process (designing) by which the communication is created and the products (designs) which are generated. This also includes architectural renderings and computer models to aid in the visualization of a project.
