David Robinson, AIA, LEED AP BD+C

Perfection. Philanthropy. Practicality. David blends a love of structural beauty with his care for humanity, resulting in outcomes to positively impact the world.

David’s friends and clients describe him as incredibly intelligent, with a magnificent sense of humor. He is a conscientious and meticulous architect who designs each Kirkpatrick Architecture Studio project with both aesthetics and the end user in mind. This consideration of others goes beyond his professional life, extending into volunteer work with his church and several charitable organizations.
With a career-military father whose work took him and his family around the world, David had the opportunity to learn about people who face a daily struggle to meet their basic needs. This early exposure to how environment impacts everyone within it remained with David, and it shapes his work philosophy today. Whether he is designing a public safety facility, a church, a community center, or some other institutional facility, his guiding question remains, “How can I design this so that it has a positive impact on the greatest number of people when complete?” He and his wife, Alexandra, are dedicated to instilling the importance of giving back and helping others into their three children. When he’s not at work, volunteering, or hanging out with his family, David enjoys catching live music around the Metroplex.
