Jim Bailey

Dedicated. Determined. Driver. Jim continues his role of community care through each fire station and public fixture he develops.

Retired Deputy Fire Chief Jim Bailey has a strong background in building alongside his 36-year career with the fire service. When Jim retired from his role as the City of Norman’s Public Information Officer, Kirkpatrick Architecture Studio asked him to join their team, because of his overlapping knowledge in construction and fire service. He contributes in both a construction administration and business development capacity, lending his expertise in firefighting, fire stations, relationships with local officials, and familiarity with job sites. KAS formed a working relationship with Jim during the design and construction of Norman Fire Stations No. 8 and No. 9 and saw firsthand his great communication skills, dedicated work ethic, and his ability to make tough decisions. Today, when Jim is not on the jobsite or supporting the fire service in a professional-but-retired way, he is enjoying life with his family or swinging a club on his favorite golf course.
